Publisher's Description:
USB to Ethernet Connector - With USB to Ethernet Connector you will never experience any issues accessing and using the USB devices that are plugged into remote computers. You can work with those devices as if they were physically connected to your local machine. All that is needed to do for that is install USB over Ethernet connector on the computer with USB device physically attached (server) and on the computer where you want to use this device (client). USB to Ethernet Connector will do all the rest. No additional hardware needed! BTW you can choose whether Linux or Windows machine will be a client or a server.
Not only this software allows accessing USB devices over Ethernet, but it's also suitable for servers and workstations virtualization. I.e. it will help you access and use local USB devices in a virtual session. Thanks to USB to Ethernet Connector you can easily work with USB devices on guest OS of such virtual environments as VMware ESX, Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Virtual PC, etc.
USB to Ethernet Connector also allows you to integrate its useful functionality into your own software (OEM licensing). List of Changes:Version 4.0 from 2010-10-04Show all changesVersion 3.0 from 2007-11-16- Network traffic encryption for secure devices sharing

Hey guys I felt compelled to write you and express my thanks for a truly wonderful piece of software. Your USB to Ethernet Connector was just what I was after and I am ever so grateful for the hard work that you guys must have put into it. I thought it was going to be tricky to set up and get going but I was amazed at how straight-forward it was and managed to share my USB device over my LAN with multiple hosts easierly. Brilliant! Thanks ever so much for some inspirational software technology. I am still testing out some other similar software but I have to say your implementation is by far my favorite. And you guys are local I see! I'm in Snohomish just down the 405....I work for Microsoft in Redmond and visit Bellevue frequently. Small world! Anyway, cheers and all the best

Need to share to a Mac
I need to share my USB drive from a PC to a Mac. It is pluged into a PC and is formated NTFS. The Mac will see it but will not connect to it. As far as I can see, this software will not help me with that.

Program limits
It works, but is not what is needed at this location. We need multiple workstations to have access without the operators having to "turn-on, turn-off". In other words, when one workstation is accessing the USB drive, others can be "locked out", like a firewall. Then when the first workstation ceases activity, the USB drive is again available to the "first come, first serve".
